Why did you join Kiara?
There were three reasons. I thought the product was great from a customer’s point of view, I sympathized with the mission, and I was strongly impressed by the founder Mr. Ishii’s enthusiasm for the business.
How do you evaluate Kiara product?
The quality and speed of Kiara’s translations. Throughout my career, I have worked in global companies where I was aware of language barriers, and I found Kiara to be a great solution to the problem of language barriers for business people working in an international environment, as well as providing a great customer experience.
Which part of Kiara mission do you like most?
It’s an exciting big idea that describes the mission of the company. The mission is a combination of English and Japanese, and the English part, Boost Humans with AI, puts a far-reaching goal in a concise and easy-to-understand way. The Japanese part, “Evolve humankind and society by providing 350 million business people with AI tools that help them achieve more”, is more concrete in terms of customer experience and social impact.
What do you think about Kiara management team?
Not only does Mr. Ishii have big ideas, but he also has an extraordinary passion for what he believes in. I am always amazed at how he gets that energy. At the same time, he is very humble and studious. Like me, she has studied design thinking, and her focus on the user’s and customer’s point of view resonates with me. I also learned about his personal activities and found him to be a very respectable person.
How can you accelerate Kiara business together?
We believe that by being customer-centric and enhancing the value and customer experience that Kiara provides, we can accelerate our business. Kiara’s business model can be seen as a subscription-based SaaS. One of my areas of expertise is building subscription businesses. One of my areas of expertise is building subscription businesses, so I think I can help you accelerate your business in terms of creating a structure for growth.
Ken Kamekawa is the CEO of CustomerPerspective Inc. He is also a visiting professor at Musashino University’s School of Data Science. As a digital strategy and marketing consultant, he advises companies at various stages of growth in the fields of information services, media, distribution, manufacturing, and utilities. As an angel, he invests in start-up companies. Previously, at Amazon Japan, he served as Vice President Consumer Marketing General Manager and Prime General Manager. He has led initiatives to improve customer experience and drive innovation in products and services. He holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.
