■About Rebuild Upstate
Rebuild Upstate is a nonprofit organization that exists to repair the homes of our low-income neighbors to make homes safer, healthier, and more livable.
They envision an Upstate where everyone has the opportunity to live a life of dignity in a safe home environment in order to maintain and foster strong, sustainable communities.
They engage with community partners to provide funding and volunteer support for home repair. The idea is simple: if you protect the home, you protect the homeowner inside it. The best home for a homeowner at-risk in the affordable housing crisis is the home they already own.

Without necessary home repairs, neighbors right here in our community will be forced to seek housing elsewhere-housing they can't afford-or face homelessness. Through home preservation, we can help tackle the affordable housing crisis by helping longtime Upstate SC residents remain in the homes they already own.

What issues did you experience before using Kiara?
We have an employee who does not speak much English. We used slack for most of our internal communications, and he would have to translate it, then answer, translate it back to english and then send. Or we would do it for him as well, either way. It was very inefficient.
How exactly does Kiara solve this?
Kiara has allowed our communication to be automatic. As soon as I send a message, it gets translated and sent in Spanish immediately after I send the message. He is able to fully understand what we are saying and respond in Spanish, which is then automatically translated back to English, so the rest of the team can understand what he is saying.
If you were to recommend Kiara, which team would you recommend use it?
Anyone who is doing international business. The integration with Slack allows us to have the channels that our employees are involved in to be able to appropriately communicate with the other members of the group.
