We had an interview with Kazuma Ono of the NPO “Beautiful World” by Kiara Inc. CEO Dai. We asked him about the current support for Ukraine, based on his experience of accepting 18 refugees.

I was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of Representative Ono.

We have already accepted 18 refugees from Ukraine. We will accept more. We will accept more, even if we have to sell our land. The Nippon Foundation is taking a long time to make a decision on the grant, so they are covering the cost with their own money.

In my last request, I said, “If you feel sympathy, please donate to Beautiful World, but not to Beautiful World. But it doesn’t have to be Beautiful World. If you feel empathy for other NPOs, please donate to them. I have nothing but admiration for Mr. Ono.

I feel ashamed of myself that I can only provide small support in Tokyo. I thought the last part, “Let’s actively learn Ukrainian culture,” was a pretty good landing point.

I will invite him regularly to hear about the current situation, and I will do what I can do to support him in cooperation with Tokyo.
