Team AI has turned into an open innovation organization

The culture I really want to create
Since I moved to Silicon Valley in 2015, I’ve been heavily influenced in a positive way by American methods.
One thing I really wanted to achieve was “I want to create a culture of cooperation in Silicon Valley in Tokyo”
This is the “open innovation project” which started this month. I’m excited that my dream will finally come true.
I think the reason why AI technology is evolving at a tremendous speed compared to Block Chain and IoT is that a wonderful culture of open innovation is spreading from the US to the world.
For example, research from Stanford and Harvard will be published as a free PDF, and the accompanying code will be available on GitHub. People around the world can equally use the world’s most advanced technology for free. This is not happening in any other industry.
In our company, we would like to promote open innovation from Tokyo to the world by using data analysis competition site Kaggle which was acquired by Google and similar competition site Deep Analytics which Opt operates and holding many data hackathons by industry.
By hosting an active learning event for machine learning, we are making our output and knowledge publicly available so that people around the world can freely use it with open source ideas.
There are three benefits to participants in this project:
1) Learn more hands-on
By actually downloading the data and building a machine learning model, rather than sitting at the desk, a more essential and practical understanding can be made.
The interns who are good at machine learning of Team AI will work as a learning assistant.
The difficult parts will be explained.
The data hackathon is carried out by group work, so beginners can learn from advanced people.
2)Acquire specific knowledge by industry
We held a collaboration event with Air Rosette and FashionTech the other day.
We hope to increase collaboration with these companies in the future.
As regular events, FinTech and Medical (CT scans, x-rays, and electronic medical records) will be held, with plans to expand into Marketing and HR.
Taking advantage of my overseas experience, I will actively engage with overseas IT companies to create a global movement. We also recently held a collaborative event with American machine learning open source H2O.ai
3)Publish the output as a resume
We value the spirit of Silicon Valley and focus on the public good and the social good.
For example, we conduct group work to solve problems in developing countries where technology is not yet developed. The results of the data hackathon will be published to the world using Kaggle’s Kernel feature, including Python/R code and validation results, so it is useful in the real world.
We will cooperate with large companies and universities to actively accumulate open data in the real world.
Team AI will play a central role in developing Japan’s open database, which is lagging behind the United States.
Kaggle’s rankings and contributions are open to the public, giving you a strong resume and a great advantage for job hunting and changing jobs. If you’re an application engineer, you’ll be able to submit GitHub and check your skills, but if you’re in data analytics, you’ll be able to have a primary interview with your Kaggle profile. I want to hire Kaggle’s GoldMaster because he will pay me anything! There are companies that say so.
Finally
Team AI also plans to expand its base, which has become too small, and hopes to expand the circle of open innovation from Shibuya to the world.
From Shibuya To The World.
Let’s spread the technology to the world and start innovation together!
